Over the past year, sixteen new products have been registered for use in French vineyards.
Twelve of these are fungicides, five of which contain the new anti-downy mildew ingredient iprovalicarb and two contain the new anti-botrytis mépanipyrim. Three others contain the new anti-downy mildew enamidon, another the anti-downy mildew famoxadon and another blends the new anti-powdery mildew agents quinoxyfen and spiroxamin.
The only new product for pest control is an acaricide using etoxazol, a new molecule with a quite original mode of action.
Three new herbicides containing previously-known molecules have been launched onto the market.
Elsewhere, twenty-seven molecules previously authorised for use on grapevines are expected to be withdrawn as part of a European-level shake-up. Eight others have already been withdrawn.
