Parmi les baies de végétaux que l'on peut rencontrer en espaces verts, certaines sont toxiques. Les principaux végétaux concernés sont cités selon leur toxicité, depuis les plus dangereux (if, certains lauriers, certaines solanées, muguet, gui, redoul et sumac) jusqu'à ceux dont la toxicité est contestée par certains.
Les substances toxiques produites et les symptômes cliniques sont décrits ainsi que la fréquence des intoxications recensées au Centre anti-poisons de Paris (CAPP). Des conseils de prudence sont donnés.
A certain number of the berries which can be found in public amenities are poisonous. The article details these poisonous berries, listing them according to the level of danger which they cause, from the most poisonous (yew, certain laurels, certain solanaceae, lily-of-the valley, mistletoe and sumach) to those whose toxicity is subject to some debate. The clinical symptoms are described as well as the number of cases of poisoning reported by the Anti-poison centre in Paris (CAPP). Advice for avoiding poisoning is also given.
