In Europe today, there are six national organisations aimed at promoting integrated farming. Together they form a European association, the E.I.F.
The national associations rely on the support of networks of farmers who, like many others, practice integrated farming, but who also, more than many others wish to promote its use. They share a common goal : increased awareness and practice of this type of farming by the entire farming profession, and also recognition from the rest of society as a whole.
The associations are as follows : FIP in Germany, Leaf in the UK, Olding I Balans in Sweden, Fill in Luxembourg, Agrofuturo in Spain. In France, FARRE, created in 1993, has a network of 21 ""open-house"" farms in the summer of 1995, a figure which they hope will rise to 500 members, with regional committees. The national association also includes institutional members and member companies, and now offers the possibility of membership to farmers who are non-members of the network.
