Studies carried out on the island of Martinique in the French West Indies have shown that there is considerable room for improvement in the domain of post-harvest fungicide treatments of banana crops.
The joint approach to this problem taken by the actors in this production channel, involving studies of the control of the quantity and quality of fungicide mixtures and the treatment of effluents of these mixtures by a Sentinel system, gives rise to the possibility of controlling potential contaminants and re-establishing the quality of water.
