? des résultats chiffrés obtenus sur un certain nombre de molécules et d'auxilaires ;
? des évolutions des méthodologies (techniques employées et exigences réglementaires auxquelles elles doivent répondre) ;
The annual meeting of the IOBC « pesticides and beneficial organisms » working group was held at the Versailles branch of the national agronomic research institute (Inra) in October 1999. The 93 attendees were treated to 33 presentations; these, and the ensuing Q & A sessions provided a detailed overview of the current status of research into the side effects of pesticides on beneficial arthropods used in biological control : mites, spiders and predatory and parasitoid insects (two of the speakers dealt with research into pollinating insects).
The following subjects were presented and discussed :
- figures obtained from tests on a certain number of products and beneficials ;
- developments of methodology (techniques used and the regulations to which they must conform) ;
- ways of moving from the measurement of effects towards real risk assessment.
