Lors d'une série de tables-rondes organisées par Proléa lors du congrès de la filière oléoprotéagineux le 6 mai 2004, les thèmes abordés ont été :
? l'organisation de la filière face à l'élargissement de l'Union européenne (aspects techniques et économiques) ;
? la question de l'indemnisation des risques y compris phytosanitaires (« assurance récolte ») ;
? la contribution de la génomique au progrès génétique (y compris à but phytosanitaire) ;
? les biocarburants, thème à souligner cet automne 2004, car la hausse du prix des produits pétroliers renforce l'intérêt économique des biocarburants, en plus de leur intérêt environnemental. At a series of round table sessions organised by Proléa during the congress of the Oil and Protein business channel on 6 May 2004, the following themes were dealt with:
? organisation of the business in relation to the widening of the European Union (technical and economical issues);
? the issue of compensation for risks, including plant health risks (« yield insurance »);
? the contribution of genomics to genetic progress (including for plant health purposes);
? bio-fuels, an extremely topical theme for this autumn, where the sharp increase in the price of oil and petrol products strengthens the financial arguments in favour of bio-fuels, as well as the obvious environmental arguments.
