In two corn-producing farms in the south-west of France, one in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department and the other in the Gers, the owners have designed and built their own premises for the storage of plant protection products, the preparation of mixtures and for the rinsing of spraying equipment.
As well as contributing to a better life on the farm, they also provide for greater user safety and maintenance of water quality. The farmers took as a starting point a manual providing all of the technical, regulatory and health spicifications pertaining to the issue.
The results of their work provide a model for all motivated farmers, showing once again that farmers are equipped with a good degree of ingenuity and good sense.
