Onze nouvelles molécules ont parcouru, en tout ou en partie, le marathon du milliard de francs d'investissement nécessaires à une mise en marché. Elles ont été présentées à la Conférence annuelle de Brighton en novembre 1998. Il y a huit fongicides au sens strict dont quatre antimildious, un antibotrytis, un antipiétin échaudage, un anti-pyriculariose et une strobilurine à large spectre, un stimulant des défenses des plantes contre divers champignons et, enfin, deux insecticides, complètent le « cru 98 ».
In 1998, eleven new molecules, the creation of which, it can be supposed, has required substantial financial investment, were presented at the Brighton conference. Eight fungicides, five of which are destined for treatment of mildew, were presented. One elicitor and the other two were insecticides, one recommended for use in integrated control and the other for use in a wide variety of crop varieties.
